Privacy notice
What Fitmaxxing collects, why, and how to get it deleted. Written plainly rather than legally.
Short version: we collect your email address if you give it to us, we use it to send you things about fat loss and strength, and you can leave whenever you want.
The long version is below, because you are entitled to it.
Who we are
Fitmaxxing is Mark and David. If you want to talk to us about anything on this page, email hello@fitmaxxing.fit and one of us will actually read it.
What we collect
If you give us your email address, we collect that address and the date you gave it to us. Nothing else. We don't ask for your name, your weight, your age or anything about your health, and we'd rather you didn't send them.
If you just read the site, our analytics tell us that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world from, and what site sent you. It does not identify you, we do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build a profile of you.
We do not collect health data. Nothing on this site asks you about your body. If you email us and volunteer something about your health, we'll only use it to reply to you.
Why, and on what basis
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To send you the protocol you asked for, and a weekly email | Consent — you ticked the box, and you can withdraw it any time |
| Anonymous analytics | To find out which articles are worth writing more of | Legitimate interests — understanding whether our own site works |
Consent has to be a real choice, so: you can read every word on this site without giving us anything. The email list is a convenience, not a toll gate.
Who else sees it
Your email address sits with our email provider, who send the emails on our behalf. They are processing it for us and are not allowed to use it for anything of their own.
We never sell, rent, swap or share your address with anyone else. Not with advertisers, not with other coaches, not with anyone.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until you've ignored us for two years — whichever comes first. If you have not opened anything in two years we will delete you rather than pad a number.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Delete it — and we will, without asking why
- Stop using it for marketing, which the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email does instantly
- Send you a copy in a portable format
Email hello@fitmaxxing.fit and we'll do it within a month. There is no form.
If you think we've handled your data badly and we haven't put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics are running, they are configured not to identify individuals.
Changes
If we change this, we'll change the date at the bottom. If we ever change it in a way that matters, we'll say so in the weekly email rather than hoping you don't notice.
